Meet Nanette Cortese


Nanette L. Cortese, Esq. is the principal member of The Cortese Law Firm, PLC.

Ms. Cortese received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan with a double major in political science and history. Ms. Cortese graduated from law school at the University of Detroit School of Law.

While at University of Detroit School of Law Ms. Cortese was the Executive Editor for the University of Detroit Law Review for Outside Articles, as well as being a member of the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society. Ms. Cortese graduated third in her class at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. After graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Ms. Cortese clerked for United States District Court Federal Judge Patrick J. Dougan.

Ms. Cortese has now practiced law in the State of Michigan for over twenty years. For the last 10 years Ms. Cortese has specialized in employment and business litigation as well as small business formation.
